What should I wear?

Keep clothing simple and comfortable.  Avoid heavy patterns, spots, stripes and logos as these date so quickly. Everyone who will be in the images should wear complementary colours in the same tones - so if one perosn is wearing light or pastel colours the others should choose colours that will harmonise with them. There is time during your photoshoot for a change of outfit so you are welcome to bring a small selection and we can discuss what will work best in your images when you arrive at the studio. Choose your colours carefully to ensure that they will co-ordinate with the decor of the room(s) in which the images will hang. Most portraits are taken barefoot, so there is no need to worry about bringing a selection of footwear.  Most importantly wear clothes that you like, fit you well and that you are comfortable in!

Where do we park?

There is plenty of free parking at the studiio.

How far in advance should we book?

If you are looking for a specific date you should book as far in advance as possible.  For shoots during the week we usually book 2 weeks in advance for weekends it can be up to 4 weeks in advance.  For Newborn shoots you should book as soon as possible after your 20 week scan - as there are a very limited number of newborn sessions available per week and these fill up very quickly.

Can I copy, scan or re photograph the images I purchase on my smart phone or tablet or share them on Social Media?

Alamar Photography retains full copyright of all the images taken at your photo shoot, this means that it is a criminal offence to copy, scan, photocopy or reproduce or email any of the images purchased, so the short answer is No. This is the law as stated under the 1988 copyright and patents act. If you purchase digital copies of your images these will be licensed to print for "personal use" and cannot be used commercially or entered into competitions.  We are happy to provide you with copies of purchased images for use on Social Media which carry our watermark, this must not be removed.
